The Federal Investigation Agency, which is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Interior of the Government of Pakistan, is responsible for the administration of law and order on a national and sometimes international scale when called upon. It was established in January 1975 as a result of the 1974 constitution act.

Due to the increasing number of crimes with each passing day, the Federal Investigation Agency supplanted the Pakistan Special Police Establishment after independence. This agency was created to combat crimes such as human trafficking, corruption, gambling, money laundering, terrorist activities, borderline and cybercrime control, and so on.

These FIA positions were announced in FPSC Jobs Advertisement No. 10. Currently, the FIA is seeking Inspector Investigation (BPS-16), Assistant Director Investigation (BS-17), and Assistant Director Legal (BPS-17). Investigation by the Assistant Director:

• Master’s degree with a second class or grade C from a HEC-accredited university is required.
• Age Restrictions: 22 to 28 Years + 5 Years General Age Reduction
• Male Height: 5 Feet 6 Inches
• Total number of vacancies: 09

Legal Assistant Director:

• Qualifications: LLB with a 2nd Class or Grade C from a HEC-accredited university.
• Two years of post-qualification legal practice/prosecution experience in the legal field
• Age Restrictions: 22 to 30 Years + 5 Years General Age Reduction
• Male Height: 5 Feet 6 Inches
• Total number of vacancies: 75
