Company Introduction:

In Pakistan, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) is a professional accounting organisation. It has 9989 members operating inside and beyond Pakistan as of December 2018.

It was founded on July 1, 1961, to oversee Pakistan’s accounting profession. The Chartered Accountants Ordinance of 1961 created it as a legally independent entity. In 1983, the CA Ordinance and Bylaws were amended in light of substantial advancements in the profession.

The ICAP programme consists of a combination of theoretical and practical training (3.5 years) that lasts roughly 6 years.

PRC, CAF, CFAP, and MSA are the four phases of the CA course offered by ICAP. The PRC stage has 5 papers, the CAF stage has 2 groups (group A and group B), 4 papers in group A and 4 papers in group B, the CFAP stage has 6 papers, and the MSA stage has 2 papers but not in the CAF stage. After that, there’s a piece of paper in the middle. The article will be available for 3.5 years.

The Institute’s headquarters are in Clifton, Karachi, where it has its own facilities. Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, Gujranwala, Sukkur, Quetta, Mirpur, Faisalabad, Abbottabad, and Hyderabad are among the agency’s regional offices.
