VU Introduction:
The government established Virtual University, Pakistan’s first university based entirely on modern information and communication technologies, as a public sector with a clear mission: to provide aspiring students with affordable world-class education in the country.
The university is well-known for broadcasting its online lectures and rigorous programmes to students regardless of their physical location. The Higher Education Commission has approved it (Pakistan).
Undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, and Information Technology are available at the University. Pakistani students living abroad are enrolling in university programmes as well, owing to their reliance on the Internet for lecturing.
VU has expanded operations with more than 190 related institutions across the country to provide infrastructure support to students since its inception in 2002.
Virtual university campuses are classified into two types. First and foremost, it has its own campuses known as offices. Its headquarters are in Lahore. The other is known as a Private Virtual Campus (PVC), which is run by private organisations and is also known as an affiliated campus.
