WAPDA Introduction:

The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority is an autonomous and independent organisation of Pakistan’s Federal Government that is responsible for the state’s water and power utilities. It was founded in 1958 by an act of parliament after the country’s independence.

WAPDA owns and operates Pakistan’s largest dams, as well as actively controlling and operating the demands and needs of Pakistan’s commercial and domestic sectors. It also intends to complete five more multi-dimensional dams to meet the power sector’s expanding demands.
