WAPDA Introduction:

The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority is an autonomous and independent division of the Pakistani federal government, responsible for the upkeep of the state’s water and power infrastructure. It was created in 1958 by a parliamentary legislation following the attainment of independence.

The largest dams in Pakistan are owned by WAPDA, which also actively manages and operates the demands and requirements of Pakistan’s domestic and commercial markets.
